About Me

I became interested in healing from a very young age and have always been drawn towards a career that involved helping others. A debilitating accident brought me to exploring healing on a more personal level; I began working as a home health care aide as well as studying alternative health care as a Doula and attending births as an assistant. Next, I became a postpartum doula and nanny while I studied Reiki, Quantum Touch and Reconnective Healing. Of course, then I wanted to learn more! I knew I wanted to be in the health care field, but felt very disenchanted by Western Medicine. I had received acupuncture a few times in my life and found it to be very effective and helpful, especially as a part of my personal healing in pain reduction and mobility. I began to explore the possibility of learning this healing art, found a passion for Chinese Medicine and started my journey to become an Acupuncturist.

I studied with Dr. Kim Fite L.Ac, Dipl. Acu (NCCAOM) as an apprentice for 5 years in Columbia, MO. During this time, we attended numerous seminars with many teachers, expanding the scope of my education. I began treating people in 2006, and have experience working with:

addictions, depression, diabetes, eating disorders, fertility, fibromyalgia, headaches, multiple sclerosis, schizophrenia, womens issues, pain syndromes, maximization of health benefits for athletes and more.
